Lame patent application of the day
Our monopolistic friends at MS have filed for a patent covering
"Application program interface for network software platform". The links
too long to plug into a wrapping email, but it's linked from the
news.com article at http://news.com.com/2100-1001-984052.html?tag=fd_top
I'm not a legal expert, but it appears to try to cover both the specific
implementation of the CLR and .NET provided by MS and the concept of
such an interface. It's a good thing these are all "open" standards,
right? :-)
