OTH it's the lack of strong foundations that holds me back from extending it (currently both the implementation and the theory are rather weak)! There are many open issues which should be fixed and doing so would for the most be a duplication of the effort done with Relax NG leading to something slightly different (there are very few design decisions from Relax NG that I don't approve). This is why I am considering a new version which could keep almost the same syntax and semantics and be compiled into a Relax NG Schema instead of being compiled into a XSLT transformation like it's done today. This should be as easy to include in your products (assuming you have a Relax NG processor at hand which I know is the case for Topologi) and eventually open Examplotron to the features and tools of Relax NG.
