I used PIs a few times to demonstrate the forcible accomodation of
overlapping markup within well-formed XML, but that never even struck me
as kosher.

Fortunately these folks at lmnl.org have found better ways around that
set of problems!

(And I need to find more time to think about LMNL and related topics!)
