I think you may have fallen into the same mistake that occupied me for
years: hoping that Microsoft would put more XML or XHTML-related
functionality into the core of Internet Explorer.

It's a lot more relaxing once you realize that you have no control over
that situation (it sure ain't open source) and spend your energy on
things beside hoping.
