This is about as persuasive as the standard newbie 
programmer wail "But it works on MY machine!"  :-)

Specs are proven to be the basis for interoperable 
implementations when they have been shown to be the
basis for MULTIPLE interoperable implementations by
people who were not privy to the thinking of the specwriters,
