I'm, not a car person. I don't think I've driven either. However, the claim was made that the Buick is easier to drive. Assuming that's true, on what grounds would you claim that the Mercedes is better designed? especially in an industrial design sense as opposed to a graphic design sense? Are there any criteria that outweigh ease-of-use? Note: if you simply think the premise is factually incorrect; i.e. that the Mercedes is easier to drive; then this isn't really relevant and we should probably kill this subthread now. -- +-----------------------+------------------------+-------------------+ | Elliotte Rusty Harold | elharo@m... | Writer/Programmer | +-----------------------+------------------------+-------------------+ | XML in a Nutshell, 2nd Edition (O'Reilly, 2002) | | http://www.cafeconleche.org/books/xian2/ | | http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ISBN%3D0596002920/cafeaulaitA/ | +----------------------------------+---------------------------------+ | Read Cafe au Lait for Java News: http://www.cafeaulait.org/ | | Read Cafe con Leche for XML News: http://www.cafeconleche.org/ | +----------------------------------+---------------------------------+
