 but someone who is biased will tend to write papers etc ... promoting his/her point of view and to ignore other ways of doing something or evidence against the way they do something. If someone works for MS I would doubt that they would push for a java solution even though the java solution may clearly be the better one. They will more likely try to show how their software could do the job. So if someone is biased or would likely to have a bias towards one solution is an important bit of information. Just because someone disagrees with you does not mean they are biased. Just because someone is wrong does not mean they are biased. Bias is a very serious accusation. It deserves to be backed up with specific proof of both the cause and existence of the bias.
