         I have. And the "href" issue still seems to be the main 
showstopper that's been stated in explicitly technical terms. A number of 
the other points raised in those references have been addressed here by 
others, but we haven't heard a peep from the XHTML folks as to why "href" 
remains a big issue, giving the amount of other substantive changes in 
XHTML you folks have introduced.

         Like you, I believe that most of the other issues raised are 
clear, and debatable, and solvable without doing all sorts of acrobatics. 
The "href" issue is the only one that I feel is entirely groundless.
