Note that there's a spec that describes how to do this: "Guidelines for 
using W3C XML Schema Datatypes with RELAX NG" 
<http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/relax-ng/xsd.html>.

If you want to use XML Schema Datatypes with RELAX NG, then you need an 
implementation that supports both this spec and the RELAX NG spec.  At 
least MSV and Jing do.
