Ken Kesey's THE ELECTRIC KOOL-AID ACID TEST.] It seems to imply a bit of both in the way I tend to see it used ... slavish conformity to some presumed authority irrespective of the costs, and voluntary acceptance of hallucinations. Inquiring minds want to know, and are weary of the debate over Roman dates and whether Tully and Cicero are ontologically the same person :~)
