This ties in nicely with that whole thread a short while ago about reliable
predictors for successful XML technologies. I've noticed a definite pattern
in this regard.

If you look over the history of xml-dev, there appears to be a consistent
pattern of ground-breaking, revolutionary technologies being announced on
April 1st, only to be completely forgotten by April 2nd. This seems to be
the one reliable predictor that can be clearly observed on xml-dev.
