In my opinion, a "right thing" solution (as opposed to a "worse is better"
solution) would work within the existing namespace URI framework and not
redefine namespace URI to resolvable URL (specifically resolvable HTTP URL).
This is especially important if RDDL gathers steam and its usage becomes
widespread in the XML world.

Besides that having finally read the RDDL spec and looked at some samples from
ERH's site, I think RDDL is a good attempt to answer the question "What should
I obtain when resolving a namespace name ?"

PS: Whoever maintains the RDDL site needs to update the natures section
(http://www.openhealth.org/RDDL/natures/) where it states that the namespace
for W3C XML Schema is http://www.w3.org/2000/10/XMLSchema.
