re admin
I think John was refering more to not advetising here period. This list
refers mostly to open source standards (www.w3.org) and the development of
XML, so a brief note stating that Zapthink does research in the field should
be enough. People wanting to get reports can visit your site whenever
convenient for them. It would be a different circumstance if the report was
free, then everyone knows that you are not SPAMing here for profit, but if
every company inovolved in XML would start posting their products to this
list, this would definitely undermind the list's purpose.

Thanks for the note, but I've gotten contradictory feedback: one group
says
to post all the details about an offering so that users can evaluate its
merits while the other says just post a short note. Judging from
reactions
by others, it seems that there's no agreement. So, I've done the former.
If
users just want me to post "This report is now available", then I will
do
that next time.

Perhaps what would help would be a good example of what people would
like to
see on this list.

Thanks,
Ron
