Re: XML Schema built-in data type namespace URI.

I am flabbergasted. Is what I see here not the champions of canonical semantics
attempting to draw a distinction between the semantics conveyed by "unsignedInt",
depending on whether those canonical semantics are elaborated from one URL
reference or another? A year ago the desirability of the canonical Infoset was
argued to me on the grounds that it should not, and under the Infoset would not,
matter what surface syntax the content or properties of a document node might be
elaborated from:  under the Infoset the derived semantics, not its syntactic
'source', would have canonical identity. But what is semantic equivalence except
the local congruence of sememic constructs on a particular occasion, regardless of
the syntax from which, or the process by which, those semantics are derived?
