Hello, We are pleased to announce the formation of a new project at SourceForge. It will serve as a resource and a community focus for conformance testing as used with XML and related technologies. The web site is: http://xmlconf.sourceforge.net/ There, you'll currently find: - Software ... the test harnesses used in the www.xml.com articles I did are now under GPL, in CVS, and ready for improvements. - XML Results ... many thanks to Curt Arnold, the JavaScript harness can talk to Xerces/COM and compare it to MSXML versions. No Mozilla yet; the current Java parsers are of course presented. - XML Schema work ... early stages there, I'll let Curt and his work speak for themselves! There are test cases and preliminary results. - More Software ... both my "SAX2 XML Utilities" (with modular DTD validator, pipeline framework enhanced AElfred, etc) and the "DOM2" version of DOM Level 2 (conformant with the May spec regardless of what some javadoc says) are there, under GPL ... javadoc is on-line. - Information, resources ... what we could find :-) This is still in the early stages, and you can help make it better. Please do -- both ideas and hands are quite welcome!! Note that this is all under GPL, and will stay that way. This should help make it easy to develop tests that are as cross-platform as the XML-centric web that we're all trying to built. - David Brownell Curt Arnold Joe Polastre Richard Tobin
