CDATA, PCDATA and IE5 XMLspy

cdata pcdata
I am curious to find out why IE5 and XMLSpy in some cases give an error
message when an element is declared as CDATA, but no error message when
this is changed to PCDATA, even if the data is NOT supposed to be
parsed. Doczilla gives no error message.

Thanks
Jacques
