Now this is one I'd love to attend. Unfortunately, I will be in Boston doing floor duty at the Cambridge Hyatt. There are some nice, wrap your brain around it extreme presentations and all the usual suspects from the community elders, plus some new names with neat topics. And you got Doug Lenat to come back after Vancouver??? Wow! It is thrilling to see the old zen "moon in the water" story as part of markup has find new life. I wish I had the IADS hypertext library written for the US Army because the illustration for that is probably still in there. It really upset the hardcore civil servants back in 92 when they tripped over where it was buried beneath a kudzu of links. :-) Len http://fly.hiwaay.net/~cbullard/lensongs.ram Ekam sat.h, Vipraah bahudhaa vadanti. Daamyata. Datta. Dayadhvam.h From: B. Tommie Usdin [mailto:btusdin@m...] Extreme is an unabashedly hard-core conference for technically-oriented members of the information interchange community: a place where information management and markup professionals can gather to learn from each other, exchange ideas and form alliances, challenge their preconceptions, argue, and increase the range of their knowledge and skills. Conference papers are all new material and have undergone extensive peer review - and revision based on that review - to ensure the highest technical quality. Eight slots on the program have been saved for late-breaking news: material that is developing and changing too rapidly for the results to be reported in time for peer review.
