RE: XML in .NET - more than just SOAP?
OK, let me try to clarify in the simplest terms:

* Office 2000 attempted to use XHTML (which is XML).
* Office 2000 produces something that resembles XHTML, and can be turned
into XHTML with moderate postprocessing.
* I'm not trying to excuse the flaws in Office2000 -- those are being fixed
for the next version.
* I think it's reasonable for people to refuse to call it XML. You can call
it whatever you want. However, with a little bit of extra work, you can do
many useful things with the existing office and XML. I hope people don't
lose sight of that just because I was dumb enough to get the O2k output
confused with pure XML..

Thanks,
-Joshua
