Need help linking xls file to HTM page

I am going through the book XML By Example, by Sean McGarath, and I am
having problems linking an XML file to an HTML page.  The Arthur is not
clear on how to use the XMLDSO.class to link the two files so the
information from the source xml file is loaded into a table in the HTML
page.  Can anyone help me on this?
