Not really! I throw out ideas and react to what people say. So far I have
had two positive private mails and one negative. I look for ways of
increasing collaborative activity...

I agree about that. One possible idea is that coordinators or potential
foci could insert this in their .sig, such as:

Foo Bar
[interested in XML-SIG at Plugh]
