Q on XML Schema!

  I have started writing schemas for a few xml files and am stuck with the concept of reusing schemas. my question is 

"How do we refer to schemas within another schema? "
                    or
"What is the equivalent tag in Schema for ENTITY (External Entity)tag used in DTDs to include other DTDs?"
