Himanshu, There is an industry attempt to standardize ldap schemas in XML, called the Directory Services Markup Language. I have not looked at this spec, but you may find it useful. See: http://www.dsml.org/ Here's a quote from the site: With a DSML standard, any XML-based application will be able to leverage directory information expressed as XML. Specifically, DSML will allow these applications to utilize profile and resource information from directories in their native environment, by providing the standard schema for representing this meta-data in XML documents. Such documents can then be used by applications or transmitted via the Internet to other DSML-enabled applications. This effectively extends LDAP across firewalls and to any Internet transport protocol ? a major benefit to all inter-company efforts. Can I extend xml schema through some kind of inheritence ?
