Common XML in one piece

one piece
I posted a bit about Common XML in the Parser Behaviour (serious) thread
yesterday, but at the time it was bits and pieces in various postings.

There's a complete (though rough and unpolished) draft up at:
http://www.simonstl.com/articles/cxmlspec.txt

Comments and suggestions are welcome, though they're probably more
appropriate on SML-DEV (see http://www.egroups.com/group/sml-dev/info.html)
than XML-Dev.

>From the Intro:
>Common XML describes a frequently used and thoroughly reliable
>subset of the features provided by the XML 1.0 and Namespaces
>in XML W3C Recommendations. Common XML defines a very small
>core, and allows developers to move beyond that core if needed.
>All of XML 1.0 and Namespaces is still available, though this
>specification includes descriptions of the impact of features
>beyond the core on interoperability.
