Thanks David and all who answered off the list. I agree that the distinction between horizontal and vertical standards efforts is pretty fuzzy, so I took a more-or-less maximalist approach. Luckily no one sent me a link to LWPCHFML (Left-Wing Polish Catholic Hog Farmers' Markup Language) or the like so I didn't have to do too much pruning...
I was surprised that I couldn't find an existing directory of this type, so perhaps this will turn out to be a useful resource for some and not just page-filler for my new rant. Anyway, we are doing the last edits on the site now so I'll post the address when it goes online.
