Dick,

- I'll pass your question about digital sig. to the engineer incharge.
- XMLconnect has its own proprietary persistence mechanism which is free.
XMLconnect can also use queue (MSMQ or MQseries) or database as its
persistence. You have to purchase these independently from appropriate
vendors.

Trung, you said that digital signature is provided by a certificate/CA, does
this mean you're packaging a S/MIME agent with the XMLconnect product so
that a sender can sign documents, using the certificate?

Also, what is the cost of the database and persistence mechanism?

Thanks,

Dick

Dick,

- encryption is through SSL over https
- digital signature is through certificates validation by
  a CA.
- has a browser interface for trading partner management
- persistance mechanism for guaranteed delivery is through either
standard queue (MSMQ, MQ series), ODBC, or propriertary.
The queue and/or database itself do not come with the free
  package.

Trung, after reading the xmlconnect information I was wondering how the
product provides encryption/ digital signature and trading partner
management functions?

you might want to watch the web site: http://www.xmlconnect.net
it has a free software for doing secure, guaranteed delivery
of XML docs over the internet.
