I'm a search person, so my guess is that it should be program to create an inverted index of the contents of a bunch of XML files for later retrieval. <http://www.XMLindex.com>, which has been advertising in InternetWorld claims it's a "portal application that uses Xdex software for context - sensitive searching. The Sequoia XML-based Interactive Portal -- Index, Search and Retrieve XML in Any File ... " But oddly enough, their web site is down right now.
