linking an xml schema
Hi Don,

An element is OK especially if this element is identified as part of the xml
namespace. We can then have either:

<xml:schema href="http://www.foo.bar/schemas/ecom"/>

or

<xml:schema>
...schema content here ...
</xml:schema>

idem for meta data reference

<rdf:RDF hRef="http://www.foo.bar/schemas/ecom"/>

or

<rdf:RDF>
...meta data content here ...
</rdf:RDF>

This has the merit to be simple, easy to use and remember and most of all -
it has a coherent rule.

I added the "/" at the end of the element. Is it like that in SML when you
have a singleton element?

Cheers

I really think it would be simpler to just use
an element and damn the sentiments over 'main
document structure'.  I prefer:

<xml:schema href="http://www.foo.bar/schemas/ecom">

over

<?xml:schema href="http://www.foo.bar/schemas/ecom"?>

Most of the APIs out there does not offer any parsing
support for PI data.
