mr.tim berners
Mr. Tim Berners-Lee,

Perhaps I am slow or something but, frankly, I am having a difficult time
understanding the contents of your messages.

Hoping that I'll have better luck with specific questions, here are two:

1. If XHTML had only one namespace, will it make your future plans for XHTML
impossible to achieve?

2.1 If you answered yes to #1, what other mechanisms have you considered as
alternatives and why do you think they will not work for the problems you
are trying to solve?

2.2 If you answered no to #1, would you defer using the namespace in the new
and exciting ways, at least not for XHTML, and use some other means?

I have not asked my questions in terms of difficulty because difficulty
exists one way or another. In other words, what is 'best' for you is not
necessarily 'best' for us. The question of who is right can not be answered
because we have wide differences in value. Only remaining question is who
has the right of way?

The cave-man version of the question is: will you go around us or through
us?
The priestly version of the question is: will you choose mercy or faith?

I applogize if the tone of this message offends you. I have a habit of
taking the offensive in all situations, probably stemming from my
Patton-worship. It is nothing personal, General MacArthur. <g>

Best,
