> Anyone know of a PS to xml (or html) converter? Not a general one ... but I've heard tell of one that was used by a large company which had some _strict_ standards that all the PostScript documents adhered to. Same style guide, tools; and auditing of the PostScript output. The SGML conversion was possible in essence because PostScript was being heavily massaged by some PostScript-hosted tools, which would have been impossible without such consistent structure in the generated PostScript. It just happened to enable a surprise tool, later -- see what good design can win you? :-) The folk who wrote this PS-to-SGML conversion are at this time not wanting to talk about it or maintain it; it's not likely that particular technology would be made available publicly, and in any case it'd not be possible without a lot more attention to the emitted PostScript than I think most organizations pay. (As in, lots of person-years just to create clean PostScript in the first place.) - Dave xml-dev: A list for W3C XML Developers. To post, mailto:xml-dev@i...
