coment in xhtml pages
As the developer of web content management software, and the webmaster for
over a dozen active websites, here's what I think XHTML should be.

1. A tightening up of HTML. Eliminate the anomalies, like <li>, <img>, <p>
that in HTML can appear without balancing </li>, </img>, </p> tags. XHTML
pages should be well-formed XML, with mods to HTML to bring it into
well-formedness.

That's it. Nothing more. Anything more than that would be totally
unmanageable for my company. (We're already in fire-fighting mode virtually
100 percent of the time.)

Dave
