I have just published the first version of CSS tutorial at : http://zvon.vscht.cz/HTMLonly/CSSTutorial/Books/Book1/index.html The tutorial is generated from XML sources with perl scripts. Read chapter how to contribute for details. You can also look at XSL tutorial at: http://zvon.vscht.cz/HTMLonly/XSLTutorial/Books/Book1/index.html. Which is also generated from XML sources. You can download both tutorials including source files and programs at: http://zvon.vscht.cz/ZvonHTML/Downloads/listOfPrograms_en.html And my opinion to current discussions: The questions: use XSL or CSS, Perl or Python, XSL or DOM are not the correct one. You should use whatever you feel convenient with. For myself, a combination of different tools proved to be extremely powerful. I am not a professional programmer. And I am just an average amateur. But combination of this tools enabled me to make quite a pretty things (at least according to my opinion). The tutorials mentioned above require only JavaScript enabled browser, if you download it to the hard disk they will work without any installation, anybody can easily add a new example or create a new book. If I did not have a format like XML which keeps things nicely organized and eventually validated, Perl with it's power, XSL for some transformations, JavaScript for some XLink simulation ... then everything would be much more complicated. -- *************************************************************** Dr. Miloslav Nic e-mail: nicmila@v...
