OK. This is probably the last message on this topic. I've hacked together an HTML pretty printer in PERL, based on the code Matt Sergeant sent to this thread a while ago, and made it available on my website. It doesn't even handle CDATA, entities or processing instructions, but I don't really need these, and they shouldn't be very hard to add (an exercise for the reader?).
