RDF is meant for metadata interchange. DCD is a next-gen DTD proposal based in part on the premise that it's useful to think of schemas as metadata, and hence to use RDF to interchange them. >I guess I'm wondering about the >*direction* of the schema proposals, without fully understanding the details >in them, nor the players involved. Well, you left out DDML AKA XSchema. It is fair to say that these proposals rush madly off in all directions. Further explication requires understanding details and players. But don't bother. It is to be hoped that the W3C "XML Schema Working Group" process will digest this input and produce something usable before it's too late. -Tim xml-dev: A list for W3C XML Developers.
