I've been working on an XML processor that I wish to base directly upon the BNF in the XML spec. I've reached an obstacle in that the operator precedence is not outlined in this spec, and after searching the Internet for more information, I was only able to find a posting to this group with the same question. For example, should "A B | C" in the BNF be parsed as "(A B) | C" or "A (B | C)" ? Any information would be appreciated. - Marty Lamb xml-dev: A list for W3C XML Developers.
