[XML-DEV Mailing List Archive Home] [By Thread] [By Date] [Recent Entries] [Reply To This Message] Representing '&' in URLs
Hopefully a simple but not too simple query... Can anyone point me to a best practice note on representing URLs that contain '&' in XML? eg. <ABC DEF="http://abc.def/cgi-bin/search.pl?term=foo&query=bar"/> where we don't want & to generate an error through looking like a broken XML entity. (Not sure how this was ever allowed in HTML in the first place, but that's another story...) I did find a thread at http://www.lists.ic.ac.uk/hypermail/xml-dev/9711/0035.html but that was a while back. Is... <ABC DEF="http://abc.def/cgi-bin/search.pl?term=foo&query=bar"/> the thing to do?
