It would be relatively easy to wrap up any of the SAX-compliant parsers written in and for Python in a COM object. Turning a Python object into a COM object seems to be about 15 minutes work. I admit that I haven't done it myself yet because the only project I would have done it for is switching from VB to Python. But I did do the research a few weeks ago and it looked easy, if you are familiar with COM. And of course, you could also make a COM wrapper for a C++ parser in C++.
