I'm slightly mystified by this message. At 18:00 15/07/98 -0500, eriblair@m... wrote: > >Hello, > >Today, I created a forum at Deja News where we can discuss >things online. I certainly wasn't consulted about this and I doubt that Henry was. At first sight it seems discourteous to set up a facility to discuss someone else's list *without consulting the list moderator(s)*. Of course you are welcome to set up an XML discussion forum, but I think it is not appropriate to refer to it by the name xml-dev nor to imply that it is in any way associated with xml-dev@i... I know little about your Deja News system - but your posting has something of the air of an advertisement and the flavour of something that is re-used in other contexts. I'd be grateful for a reply. If not I shall have to make it clear that xml-dev at Deja News has no formal connection with xml-dev@i... In any case, if the members of XML-DEV wish a char facility I have had many years in setting up virtual environments and Henry and I would see it as our role to consider how it should be best done. We have built up a virtual community on XML-DEV which is of top quality and we wish to develop it in pour own way. P.
