It's important to get it out, but it's also important to get it right. I'd
like to have something stable people can begin to work with by June 30. (In my
dreams the whole thing would be locked down and complete by then, but I'm very
awake right now.)

I don't think this means we're totally locked in to where we are right now.
It does mean that ideas will have to flow fairly quickly in the next week if
there are going to be any architectural (i.e. rules instead of nesting)
changes.

The best thing about this project is that it has wandered well away from my
original vision, improving along the way quite dramatically. Modularity seems
to become more and more important as we go along; there are lots of good
reasons that it's so popular in assorted standards.

If someone proposes a rule-based system that looks good in the next week, or
can make a convincing case for it, I'm still willing to consider it for
XSchema 1.0. In the meantime, I'll keep writing with the good stuff we've got
now.

It's still getting painted on XSchema. I sure hope this is quality quick-dry
paint!
