XSchema Question 4: XML 1.0/XSchema interactions

question for xml
In some of Peter's latest examples, he's used 'traditional' general entities.
I like the results, but don't know that this belongs in the official spec.

Question:
Should the use of traditional DTD entity (and other) notation be encouraged in
the design, development, and use of XSchemas?

-------------------

Keep in mind that XSchema 1.0 is not itself providing entity services.

I think in the long run, entity services will be provided by a non-XSchema and
non-DTD mechanism. For now, though, we need to be able to interoperate. Peter
suggested a separate 'note' - I think this is a good idea.
