Vol. 2, No. 4 of the World-Wide Web Journal is out: "XML Principles, Tools, and Techniques". It's a joint publication of the W3C and O'Reilly. I don't want this to come off as an advertisement, but I wouldn't have heard of this if my wife weren't QCing it (-:, so I thought I'd drop a note. For more information, see <URL:http://www.w3j.com/>. Particularly fascinating articles (to me) are "The Web Is Ruined and I Ruined It" by David Siegel, self-proclaimed HTML terrorist - who comes out in favor of XML; "Embedded Markup Considered Harmful", an interesting perspective from Ted Nelson; and several empirical papers from XML developers Tim Bray, Peter Murray-Rust, Jean Paoli, and Michael Leventhal. -Chris -- <!NOTATION SGML.Geek PUBLIC "-//Anonymous//NOTATION SGML Geek//EN"> <!ENTITY crism PUBLIC "-//O'Reilly//NONSGML Christopher R.
