Marc FeickertSubject: Stylus 2010 and Win 7 problem with grid view

I really feel crippled right now. Just upgraded notebook and have installed win 7 OS. Have installed SS 2010.

One of the main reasons i purchased stylus so many years ago was the excellent grid view. One amazing feture of it was how i could change data in a cloumn for multiple rows by manipulating the data in an Excel spreadsheet, copying, and pasting into the grid view (espcially handy when I want to quickly provide sequential IDs to xml documents).

It no longer works! I don't know if this is a Stylus problem or a problem on my own machine. When I copy, say, 3 ceels in an excel column and then try to paste into grid view, only the FIRST item changes.

Very frustrating!!! Help please...

I have uninstalled and reinstalled both Stylus and Office, and still have the same results.

Anyone?

Installed both programs out of box onto a winxp VM. Same problem.

I'm beginning to think it's a problem with stylus. Please, can someone talk to me?

Marc,

Try the following:

From Stylus Studio to Excel

- Right click on the blue table header (XPath label)
- Click on Copy as Tab-Delimited
- Paste in Excel

From Excel to Stylus Studio

- Select the data in Excel and do Copy
- Right click on one of the row in the Stylus Studio Grid view
- do Paste

Hope this helps

Ivan,

Thanks. I discovered not long before you replied that the issue is limited to blank ceels. If I copy 5 cells that have values, the copy paste works. If I have 3 values, one blank cell, and one value, it works. If I have 4 blanks followed by a value, it works. If all the cells are blanks, or if the first cell is a value and the rest are blank, then the paste only applies to the first grid item.

This is the behavior whether I use mouse or shortcut keys.

So, the problem is not as widespread as I thought, but it does still exist for those two instances.
