Nathan PhillipsSubject: Parse error without location
Author: Nathan Phillips
Date: 08 Nov 2005 10:51 AM
Hi,

I am getting a parse error when previewing my XSLT file. The error includes no location information. How do I get more information?

The error is 'Expected ) in pattern '.

Thanks,

Nathan

Nathan,
You can often get more information by trying to use one of the other xslt processors. Open the scenario for the xslt and select the Processor tab. You will have a choice of several different processors. Pick one, close the scenario, and try preview again.

If you send us your .xslt and other associated files, we can look into the problem more closely.

Thanks
Clyde Kessel

Clyde,

Thanks for the pointer. I was just downloading Saxon :) That gave me the error information I needed.

Thanks for the offer to look at my files. My XSLT file is 800-some lines - I don't want to ask too much. I think I have the best chance of getting it running.

If I run into any more specific problems, I will post here.

Thanks,

Nathan
