dr gonzoSubject: XPath 2.0 ends-with function
Author: dr gonzo

Hi,
Why cant I use ends-with(..) XPath funciton in my xslt 2.0 document?

I can change the XPath version to 2.0 on the xml document but how do I make my xslt transformation process to use xpath 2.0?

Here's the error i'm getting:

cfx_flatten_java.xslt (55, 5): Function "ends-with" does not exist (or is invalid XSL).; in expression

TIA

XSLT 2.0 is based on XPath 2.0.

You have to declare the XPath2 functions namespace in your stylesheet:

<xsl:stylesheet version="2.0"
xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"
xmlns:fn="http://www.w3.org/2005/04/xpath-functions">

then call

fn:ends-with ( string , string )

Thank you Ivan.
I was using the following declaration:
xmlns:fn="http://www.w3.org/2005/02/xpath-functions
note: 2005/02 instead of 2005/04
Just pointing it out to help anyone else having similar stupid problems.
