I need to merge many XML files using the same DTD strucutre. Basically a batch run at end of day triggers creation of multiple XML files but with same structure. I need to combine these XML files into one one XML file.

Is there any standard code to do this? What would be the steps to do this?

There is no standard way, since schemas differ in design.
A simple way of appending is discussed in thread

If you need the elements to intertwine more tightly, it's up to you
to decide how.
