I've just run across what appears to be a bug with both MSXML 3 and 4 If you're using the xsl:processing-instruction element, neither of the above two processors will put in the closing '?' for you. Lee,

Most likely the output of your transformation is set to 'html'.
HTML Processing instruction has a different syntax:
http://www.w3.org/TR/1998/REC-html40-19980424/appendix/notes.html#h-B.3.
