There is an easy work-around, but it would be much nicer if when you inserted an image, Stylus Studio included the extension .png in the default dropdown selection.

Even better, probably, would be the default is .gif, .jpeg, .jpg, .png. Or have it be "All Image Formats" followed by specific extensions.

Subtle difference, but beauty is in the details.
