Vinayak SapreSubject: JDK 1.4.2 compatibility
Author: Vinayak Sapre
Date: 17 May 2003 12:57 AM
I recently installed 1.4.2 beta of jdk. I read somewhere that it has some compatibility issues with the xalan.jar shipped with many products for ex. tomcat.
I think SS is also in the list. I get content-handler property must be set error.

Any work around other than installing older java?

Vinayak,

What stylus version are you running ?

We run preliminary tests with JDK/JRE 1.4.2 beta and
we did not encounter any problem.

Could you send me a test case that reproduce the problem?

Vinayak SapreSubject: JDK 1.4.2 compatibility

I have 4.6, build 103t version for Stylus and 1.4.2-beta-b19 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM Sun Microsystems Inc. debug mode port:8000

Attached file gives me same exception. I have made following observations
1. If I comment line 11 (value-of) then I don't get error.
2. If I comment line 10, 12 and keep 11 making it value of the element, it works fine.
3. If I use internal XSL transformer / SAXON then every things works.

Thanks

Vinayak

Applicationtest(8).xsl
XSL that causes error

Vinayak,

Thank You for the test case, we were able to reproduce the problem and
fix it.
The fix will be part of future update (4.6 103v).
