Eliot KimberSubject: Feature Request: CVS Integration
Author: Eliot Kimber
Date: 17 Jul 2002 11:37 AM
I think this is the last feature request I have (for now).

We use CVS for source code control and it would be really handy if SS integrated with CVS. I use Netbeans for Java dev and their CVS integration is a good model for what I have in mind.

Note: this is not a particularly critical requirement, just a nice-to-have.

Thanks,

Eliot,
Stylus Studio talks to a source code control provider by implementing the
SCCAPI protocol (developed by Microsoft for Visual Studio). So, any source
code control provider that ships a plugin conformant to that API can be
used by Stylus Studio.

The SCCAPI plugin for CVS we tested is called Zeus SCC-CVS, and can be
downloaded from http://www.zeusedit.com/archives/scccvs.html
You should also read the "Using Stylus Studio with Zeus CVS" topic in the
Help file to understand how to map the CVS parameters to the configuration
dialog parameters.

Alberto

Cool--this worked great. The only thing the help didn't mention is that the cvs.exe executable needs to be in your path--I use WinCVS as my normal Windows GUI and it isn't in the path be default.

Thanks again.
