David SmithSubject: Additional XSLT Functions
Author: David Smith

Are there any collections of additional functions available (jar files)? My JAVA coding capability is non-existent. Routines that would be very useful are:
* Ability to add/subtract a value to a date/dateTime to give a new date/dateTime;
* If a condition is met in an element or attribute then perform a following function (If-then-else) (which may be another If).
Regards
David

No, we don't have a library of extension functions available; extension
functions are usually so intimately tied to the semantics of each
application, that we've never spent time trying to abstract common behaviors.

About the second item you mentioned, what's wrong about using xsl:if or
xsl:choose?

I have in fact been using this but thought it would be that much easier (and visible) in the GUI. I find working with the GUI far faster that doing these little bits of code.

Oh, I see what you mean. Exposing xsl:if/xsl:choose in Mapper GUI is an
open PCR that we will address as soon as possible.
