Vadiraj KerurSubject: Regarding New Version..
Author: Vadiraj Kerur

I have the following doubts with sylus
1.Is it possible to insert(drag&drop) the
HTML controls like buttons,textbox etc,in
the XSLT Stylesheet or XML-XML Mapping.

2.In xml-xml mapping when I open the target
xml,it does not retain the defined
attribute values.How to solve it.

3.Are you attempting to solve the above
problems in the upcomming stylus version?

cheers

No, not yet; that's part of the xml-to-html wysiwyg work we are doing.

I am not sure I understand what you are saying; the xml-to-xml mapper works
on XML structures ("schemas" extracted from existing XML files, or DTDs or
XML Schemas); it doesn't work on instances of XML data. That's why you
don't see "defined attribute values" in the source or destination trees.

As mentioned, we are working on an xml-to-html wysiwyg functionality; we
already had some level of such functionality in Stylus 2.0; we decided not
to migrate it to the 3.0 product but rather to re-design it in order to be
more useful and robust.
We don't have a precise date for its release yet, but we are working hard
to make it available by the end of the year.

Thanks,
Minollo
